Cyber Law is a generic term that is related to the legal aspects of the Internet. In other words this law refers to the legal issues within the emerging areas of cyberspace.The enormous growth of Electronic Commerce has led the need for effective mechanisms.Cyber law is extremely important as it touches almost all aspects of transactions and activities on and dealing with the Internet, the World Wide Web and Cyberspace.

When the Internet was developed, the founders of Internet hardly had any clue that Internet could transform itself into an all penetrating revolution which could be misused for criminal activities and which required laws and regulations. Today, there are many disturbing incidents happening in cyberspace.Due to the anonymous nature of the Web, it is possible to get involved into a variety of criminal activities.Specially today, people have been misusing the Internet to involve themselves in criminal activities in cyberspace.Hence the dire need for Cyberlaws have been involved.In today's highly digitalized and fast-paced world, almost every person is affected by cyber law.

Cyber Laws come into the picture in the cases of cyber crimes such as online banking frauds,credit card fraud, theft of source code, phishing, hacking,attacks of virus etc.
