Anessa Owen Kramer, a shareholder at Brooks Kushman P.C, a major intellectual property (IP) and commercial law firm is honored as a 2010 "Leader in the Law" by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. Kramer is  one of the 7 women who is named to this year's list along with other honorees.


Mark A. Cantor, president of Brooks Kushman P.C said that everyone is proud of Kramers recognition as a Leader in the Law. Her skill to lead and develop the trademark department has been significant to the overall expansion of Brooks Kushman P.C , and all are  pleased to see her recognized externally for these efforts.

At Brooks Kushman, Kramer manages the 27-member trademark practice group, an area that generates roughly $4 million yearly and assists to direct the firm's marketing activities. Kramer manages the global trademark portfolio for  several famous brands.Additionally, Brooks Kushman works to develop Brooks Kushman's reputation in trademark expertise on a national and worldwide level and leads latest business pitches to main companies. One of her greatest  legal accomplishments at Brooks Kushman was helping to convince Ford Motor Co. to combine and contract out U.S. and global trademark legal work with the law firm, saving Ford millions of dollars and tripling Brooks Kushman's profits.
